Long time no waffle

Hello there all!
Something drew me here on Sunday and I learned the sad news of the death of David Watkins.
I also saw that someone has been asking after me, and am very touched at that.
Well, there have been torrents of water under the rickety old bridge and it's now six years since I went to Tobago, but I still talk about it to anyone who will listen. Recently two new people joined my workplace who originate from Jamaica. As soon as I knew I was off: 'I've not been to Jamaica, but I have been to the Caribbean, to Tobago...' and away I went!
That sojourn in Tobago made no small impact on my life:
I learned how to use the Internet so I could do some research on Tobago and from there joined this forum;
I re-discovered my dormant love of writing from waffling on this forum, and wrote a book about Tobago ( which I'm hoping to be made available on Kindle), followed up by another book. I'm not particularly proud of either of them now though as I've been practising my writing and believe it to have improved.
I joined a writer's forum when I published my book and there made some new friends, most notably a British lady, an author, living in the US, in Utah. Not only have we become very good friends, I have met her over here and two years ago I flew to Utah ALL BY MYSELF ( a big achievement for me) and spent two lovely weeks staying with her.
I may or may not return to Tobago ( never say never) but it will always hold a special place in my heart.
I can't promise to waffle on here so much in the future, if at all, but I have discovered the notorious Facebook, where I tend to do my waffling nowadays, if any of you would care to join me there. I remember the 'regulars': Tony, Bill, Sandra, Steph, Gisella, Paul....
Take care now all!
