We stayed at Castara's Cottages from April 26th-May 3rd in the Saffron cottage. It was a quaint little, "open-air" concept, spot with a nice balcony facing towards the beach. The accommodations were simple but nice. The manager, Anne, was very professional and very helpful with the booking, making it quite painless. The local restaurants are simple and reasonably priced, ranging from 15-22CAN per person per meal. The cottage manager/housekeeper, Keisha, awaited our arrival and provided us important information for our stay. Seeing as the Scarborough supermarket was closed on a Saturday we were also short on supplies and she was nice enough to head in to town a few days later to pick up some needed supplies, which we were very thankful for.
Overall, beautiful beaches, fairly friendly people and a variety of wildlife.
