Back from 2 weeks in castar. We hired a car for a few days and took a few trips with locals.
Charlotteville- lovely friendly village- a local fisherman called Mark took us to pirates bay- nice secluded bay we had to ourselves
Goat races- this was great fun. Dont miss it if you are there at easter. We preferred it to sunday school
Speyside and little Tobago- lovely .went with franks from blue water inn on glass bottom boat
Two boat trips with Duck- a neighbour to castara retreats. He was a nice guy and does offer trips to people in castara- went to buccoo reef and the nylon poll and barbeque on no mans land. The water was unbelievably blue and he made good rum punches!
We toured the island ourselves. we personally preferred the north but there seemed to be more places to eat in the south.
We always felt it was a very safe island and liked the way locals and tourists mixed so happily.
We bought some lovely crafts at Shore things- friendly ladis and nice fruit juices
