Hi
Only 2 weeks to go now, so we've been monitoring the weather reports for Tobago and there appears to have been a lot of rain recently. Should I pack an umbrella? Or does most of the rain fall during the night (I hope so!)

Hi Joanne
I'm afraid the weather throughout the Caribbean has been particularly unseasonal this year. Some people say the wet season has come early. Others say that last year's wet season never really finished. The weather for the past couple of weeks has been VERY wet - but at least it's warm rain.

I can confirm that last week there was some rain, but only one morning was it bad. Other times it was over in minutes and dried up again as quick. The locals say that the rain is unusual for this time of year and have put it down to the Leap Year. Apparently the weather goes wappy every 4 years. But we were told that they are expecting it to be dry again very soon and it will be VERY hot. Hope it's when you arrive, but if it isn't - don't worry, it didn't spoil our fun at all. In fact we put it down to another experience on the island. We have never swum in warm rain beore and when it comes down hard whilst you are in the sea, it feels like needles - There you go - another story to tell - we wouldn't have missed it for the world.

Hi Joanne !!
Yes, we had more rain then usual at this time of the year.
But don`t worry. It is enough time to go for a six-pack of Stag and return without getting wet. You could still meet some Scandinavians with a nice sunburn in the Rumshop.

Hi
Thanks for all your comments - I've just looked at "wunderground.com" where I can see there are still plenty of thunderstorms predicted for the coming week. We won't let wet weather spoil our holiday - we have plenty practice dodging the rain at home. Perhaps I'll pack a couple more novels!

Sky conditions
mostly cloudy
Weather
Rain showers
Temperature
80 F (27 C)
seems to be raining a lot more than a burst of warm and welcome rain.
Anyone here got any idea how bad it is on terra firma rather than just website weather reports?
(ie I'm sitting in a cloudy, rain showers London and it's sure enough depressing here!)
