I stayed in one of Shirma's apartments for 6 weeks during my medical elective and I cannot recommend it enough. I felt very welcome from the start and was reassured, as a single traveller, to know that Shirma or her family would help me with any problems I had. Shirma is a great cook and treated me to some amazing local foods - her 'bake N saltfish' was a personal favourite! The apartment was very clean and spacious and the garden is beautifully tended. She also drove me to the supermarket once a week and to the hospital each morning. If I come to Tobago again, I will definitely be staying with Shirma!
