I stayed in Lillibets with my family for 4 nights in april 2017. First of all, Castara is a wonderful, very peaceful and laidback place...perfect if you wish to get away from it all, and want a focus on nature and rest. We totally loved it and will definitely come back, even though we've stayed in a handful of other locations throughout Tobago in the last 10 years.
Lillibets is situated in a very good position, very close to the smaller of the two bays. We stayed in one of four appartments in the lower half of the building, but the views were still stunning. The terrace is also well positioned and hardly receives any of the scorching Tobago sun.
The unit is complete with livingroom, kitchen, bathroom and one airconditioned bedroom. Everything works well, but we found that the place is in a bad need of updating. This goes for virtually all spaces. We are not picky and know that no top notch can and should be expected, but the place simply looked very old and worn-out. We were very disappointed upon arrival that some places in the apartment had not been cleaned. There was thick dust on the night tables, and the towels smelt so muffy that we decided to use our own. The place is also extremely sensitive to noise from the neighbours above, as there is no insulation and it feels like what happens on top almost happens in your room. It was difficult to communicate with the manager as there was no representative available during the entire visit.
Apart from these (in our view) important flaws, the space, and especially the balcony were very convenient, and made for a pleasant stay all together.
