Go!!! You will certainly not regret it. My girlfriend and i are booked to return for our 3rd visit on Sept.14th this year- why?, because the resort (Coco Reef Resort) is simply superb. We have spoken to dozens of other guests over our two previous stays and only one couple said that they wouldn't return. If you have any specific questions that are not covered in Steve and Linda's fairly comprehensive report, post them on here and i will try to answer them.

We are planning to visit coco reef in the first week of January, 2003, is it better to book via a travel company or direct with the hotel? Which airline or route would be the best? We are concerned about earlier comments regarding over booking. This will be our first visit to Tobago and any tips or advice would be very welcome. Many thanks Mike & Heather

Hi both, we've just returned (4th May) from two wonderful weeks at the Coco Reef where we were also married. The whole thing was wonderful and we Steve has posted a few details (came out more like a mini review) on the site as you will see above. As I've stressed, different people want different things out of a holiday and I've only put down our thoughts, other may like or want other things. Overall, it was truly wonderful and please feel free to Email us directly if you'd like to know anything that may come along although I'm sure either the Review or Steve will be able to answer any questions you have. We flew out using the BA flight via Antigua and found it very very good, especially as you have choice of seats as it starts back from Tobago on its return flight. I have to add that on this occasion we flew Club as it was special but would have no hesitation using World Traveller. I believe they may also be introducing World Traveller Plus at some point. Anyway, have a great time.

The problem with over-booking at the Coco Reef was, I understand, a short-term glitch early last year (2001) by a British tour operator. I've neither seen nor heard any reports of the problem since March 2001 so I think its something you can forget. As regards booking direct or through a tour operator, I would check all options and compare the various packages/prices available. See our Air Travel section (Tobago/Getting There menu) for more information on the flights from Britain.
