My colleague and I stayed at Shirma's from the end of October to the end of December. We stayed in a lovely two bedroom apartment where both rooms were en-suite. The kitchen and sitting room were fully equipped with air conditioning in both bedrooms and the main kitchen/sitting room area.
Personally, I was incredibly anxious about leaving home for six weeks to a place I had never been before but it was Shirma and her family that made me feel at home within minutes of arrival. They took us to the hospital every morning, hoping every Monday, cooked us lunch every Sunday and even helped us plan excursions for our time away from the hospital. Shirma and her family made every day enjoyable were genuinely the highlight of our time in Tobago.
Any student planning their elective who are considering Tobago honestly look no further. The hospital was a great place to learn with many opportunities and in terms of accommodation you are completely sorted with Shirma's apartments.
