We'll be staying at the Sandy Point Beach Club, and Frontier Divers is based there. Has anyone any experience diving with the Douglas brothers?

Tanks,

Gary

Hi Gary,
I suggest you try a similar post on the UK forum "www.divernet.com" in the destinations sections you may bit a bit better response.

I did a "Discover Scuba" with Frontier Divers. My tutor, Alvin Douglas was brilliant. He was methodical and extremely patient with me. At no time did I feel any anxiety.

Kevin - I did a search on 'Divernet.com" but didn't do a post. Good idea! I do have a post on "scubaboard.com" as well. No answers yet. Tanks.

Charles - Being a "Newbie" you may not have had the experience with other outfits to judge, but how would you rate their equipment, attitude, shop, boat, etc? Did you stay at the Sandy Point Beach Club as well?

Welcome to the Undersea World!! Tanks.

Gary,

That's why I kept my comments brief this was the only dive I have ever done in my life so I am not really qualified to judge. The equipment seemed to be well used but worked fine and when we got back to the shop Alvin rinsed it all in fresh water before we rinsed ourselves. All I can really say is that they seemed professional and certainly instilled confidence in me.

Didn't stay at the Sandy Point Hotel but did notice the noise from the planes - they were very close as they taxied out to start their take-off but it probably won't be a problem as I don't think there are any night flights.
