Hi. We stayed in Parlatuvier a few years ago, and we snorkelled along the right hand side of the bay as you look out to sea. Personally I preferred Castara bay, but it was still worth doing. Gill

Hey Gill - Thanks - I agree about Castara little bay - I think it is one of the best areas in Tobago - especiality the rock off to the right that surfaces at low tide. I have always stayed in Castara but have thought about Parlatuvier . Nice to get up in the morning & snorkel . So was wondering about Parlatuvier. All the best Rick - Thanks again !

I loved Parlatuvier . So Peaceful, and with the rain forest right on top of you. BUT. Castara gets under your skin ! Best wishes. Gill

The best snorkelling is outside Parlatuvier bay towards the north side, just around the other side of the headland.
Not only is it the best for Parlatuvier, I think it is the best reef I have seen in Tobago, rarely visited and pristine.
I am not sure how safe it is to swim out there from Parlatuvier beach but there could be a trail that takes you there. I visit by boat.
The reef is quite large and made up of 2 rocky ridges, very colourful and with many varieties of reef fish. Don't be put off by the resident 8 foot Great Barracuda … smile back to him if he follows you around, he is just curious.
Regards

Thanks Paul -Sounds interesting -I've always have stayed in Castara but might stay in Parlatuvier. You probably don't remember me I had lunch with you and some folks at Kings Bay Cafe a few years ago [ I had a major sinus infection and wasn't very good company]Thanks for the reply - Rick

Oh yes … I remember … there was also Mr & Mrs Green, Mr & Mrs Bondie, Ancle from the NBR, my carer Sue and Hugh … I think Hugh took a groupie photograph and posted it somewhere on this forum.
Hey Hugh … where is that photo … I am suffering from memories
