Just like everyone before me I stayed at Shirma's for the 6 week duration of my medical elective. I was greeted at the airport by Shirma who ensured I had enough food and such like to see me through until the weekly shop.
The accomodation is fantastic and all you could ever need. If you do need anything extra (e.g. kitchen utensils) then Shirma was always more than happy to oblige.
The nature of the accomodation and how hospital runs and group food shops are carried out really helps contribute to a great sense of camaraderie between the students.
Would highly recommend to anyone fancying an elective in Tobago - Shirma and her family do their utmost to make you feel at home.
