safety on minister beach

Hello,

We are considering renting a place that is on minister bay. The description of beaches on mytobago says not to go to this beach unless in a group. Is that because of the rip tides and currents or is it because of crime? We'd appreciate any advice, thank you,
Pamela and Steve

Hello Pamela / Steve

I have tried to respond to your private message but it does not look like this is working.

I give Steve permission to share my email address with you.

Regards

Hi Paul

I've conducted various tests and the PM system looks to be working fine. Are you getting error messages? In what way do you think that it might not be working? Perhaps best to email me with the details.

Pamela, in answer to your question. Although close to a large number of new villas, Minister Bay is actually very isolated by the surrounding scrubland and trees that border the beach. I put that warning on after the murder of a German couple on that beach 5 years ago. As it happens, the area immediately adjacent to Minister Bay is currently subject to massive development and this means that the beach will be less isolated. However, I steel feel that great caution should be exercised before visiting this beach.

I would also stress that you should NOT swim in this bay. The sea here is subject to really nasty rip tides.

Hello Steve

My PM reply to Pamela & Dave is still in the outbox … I can't shift it.
