Looking for a local cooking class

We will be near Mt Irving for a week and I thought for my husbands birthday it would be fun to attend a cooking class or have a local chef come to Villa. Any suggestions? Also, we want to experience good local cuisine so are looking for good restaurants to try. We don’t need fancy (although we may spurge a few times) but are looking for fresh and authentic food that is great.
