Thumbs up for Thrifty via Yes! Tourism

Gentle first post since returning to thank Yes! for sorting my Suzuki Grand Vitara whilst in Tobago.
No way on the world would I have liked to do the driving I did in anything less than a 2.0 litre jeep (and even that struggled badly at times!).
Just under 1000km covered in 13 days weighed in at $950.
I'd heartily recommend using Yes!
(I'm trying hard to rebuild my terrible reputation as a highly strung nerd on the edge, almost everyone I met in Tobago greeted me with "ah, YOU'RE Marc Jones!")

Welcome back to reality, Marc
I'm surprised that there was anyone to recognise you. We sent out a general warning and most locals decided to take an off-island holiday.
I'm only teasing of course. The important question is, how did it go? Have you come back totally chilled and ready to do battle wit the IT world?

Steve, we'd have stayed if at all possible.
Everything we hoped for and more.
Never made the falls or the rainforest and we didn't manage Pirates Bay either. I'd also like to scuba next time (we snorkelled almost daily!). Still, there is always next time
Forget going anywhere else, it's Tobago or bust for us from here on in. Reviews etc all in good time.
Of course, contractual/obligatory nod to your good self sir for the resource that made me wiser than a very wise thing whilst out and about.
Now, off to the chippy for tea!

Hi Mark,
1000Km on Tobago I'm impressed, I didn't think there was that much road on the island.
It's a pity you didn't get to try diving I always find it the one thing that really helps me relax and chill.
I too have a reputation for being more that a bit highly strung or as the lads in Trinidad put it a couple of years ago when I did some work out there "tightly wrapped" after the fist week they were calling me Capt' Clingfilm!!
Regards
Kevin

Saw a few grounds, saw a few teams train, missed T&T vs NI by a week
Have returned a new man, all mellow and any more laid back I'd be horizontal!

We just returned from Tobago, and we also had a car from Thrifty through Yes, Tourism. We decided on a Jimny soft top WITH AC. It was great. Part of the time, we had the top open, and when it got too hot, we flipped on the AC. We were all over the island, and had a few times when the small engine bogged down on the steep inclines, but it made it. What fun!
