Hi,
Could any of the regualr travellers advise on the best airline/deal to travel with and advise how far in advance you can typically book. I'm looking to travel in August 2005! I keep hearing Excel mentioned...I wasn't even aware of them until today. Thanks in advance! :?

Hi W.J.

Welcome aboard.

Without doubt, the best prices from the UK are with Golden Caribbean's Excel Airways charter flights. See our Air Travel (menus: Tobago/Getting There/Air Travel) pages for further details.

As far as how far to book in advance, how long is a piece of string? However, having said that, August is not a busy time so availability should be no problem. I don't they they'll even start taking booking for next August until late this year.

I was fortunate to find the cheapest flights ever from manchester, amazingly just over £400 with Bwia!! This is cheaper than the charter and I am sure I will cope with the stops, only 16 days to go.

I thought that some of you may like to know that I just called Golden Caribbean and they have flights at the end of Nov and end of Jan at the same price of £332 pp return. WOW

I paid £1600 last year for accommodation AND flights for 2 adults and 1 8 year old from Virgin holidays.

That deal comes up again, I'll book again in a blink!

Rex, room only, 2 weeks May 2004.

Early booking discount knocked £600 off (we booked in December 2003).

I lurk poised waiting for a potential repeat of such madness!

Hi,

We also booked 12 months in advance for the RTB and we got £750 off (with Virgin) so we used the discount to pay for an upgrade and boy was it worth it. We booked premium economy and got to go upstairs with PLENTY of legroom. Golden rule is book 12 months in advance and book online.

Joanne.
