We are considering tobago. family of 4 boys aged 12 and 10. It will be are first time. Any recommendations of accommodation. We would prefer self catering/ an appartment or house/ the boys would like a pool/ we would like to be near the sea/ we like a bit of local character/ restaurants within easy distance. Also is it better to go with a package or arrange ourselves. Any tips would be helpful thank you

Hi Markus, we visited Castara when we were on the island in 2000 (going back in 23 days and 14 hours but- hey- who's counting!). It is a beautiful bay, very much a fishing community, but little else there. You may find that a mainstream hotel- dare I say the Grafton- it was great 3 years ago- or somewhere like Indigo Tobago at Pleasant Prospect which are only 40 minutes away(the roads.......) might give you a better enviroment given the small person. Whatever, enjoy
