We are arriving in Trinidad on August 6th on an Air canada flight out of Toronto arriving at 13:50. We have been having some difficulty booking on Tobago Express online. We have finally booked through Yes Tourism (very efficient and helpful-dealt with Tanja). Unfortunately the only flight she could book us on is 6:30 pm the next day! Has anyone any experience with standby. What are the chances of getting on a flight that day.We are a family of 4.

I've never used the flight myself, but I imagine that it's like standby anywhere. As a single traveller, possibly worth trying. As a family of four, I would have thought you would be setting up for an awful lot of hanging around and possible dissapointment. Personally, I would just resign yourself to the stopover and plan accordingly.

Hi Sarah,
The Tobago Express flight is a bit like a bus route, and pops accross to Tobago and back on a regular basis during the day there are usualy a few empty seats but as Steve points out getting 4 on may be the issue, you may have better luck if you try two lots of two if you go stand by.

Kevin

Hi Sarah;
You'll be travelling in the Height of the August school vacation and
unfortunately, there are some problems(delays, cancellations) with the Air Bridge between Trindad and Tobago, particulary with Tobago Express - My advice would be to contact BWIA and try to get a confirmed flight to Tobago- http://www.bwee.com.
