Hi I have a question for Steve or indeed anyone else who may be able to advise. I'm visiting Tobago on 12th August. My passport expires in may 2005 but I've been told that I need to have at least 12 months validity on my passport before I can enter the country. Does anyone know if this is true? I've asked the passport office but they were'nt very helpful and just said that it depends on the country that I'm visiting and they didn't know about Tobago's passport rules! I'm a little concerned as if it is true, then it's too late for me to do anything about it!
Thanks!
Louise

Hi Louise,

I have just enquired about this and apparently you need a clear 6 months on your passport from your return date.

Have a fab holiday!

Hi Louise

Kirsten is quite correct "Passports must be valid for a period of at least six months beyond the period of the proposed visit." So you are quite OK to visit in August.

Hi Louise,
I went out last November with a passport that was due to expire in May with no problem. I think the requirement is that your passport must be valid for 3 months after your return date. Steve will probably confirm this.

So you have nothing to worry about unless you are planning to stay until March.

Regards

Kevin

six month is right because that is the longest term you can stay as a tourist, after extending you visa. after 6 month you have to leave anyway....
don't think you have the chance to stay that long, do you?
