Can you ever write enough?

Can you ever write enough about this absolutely beautiful island? It's now 3,5 years since I went to Tobago with my best friend for 5 weeks. I have relatives living there, running the Dillon's Seafood Restaurant. We stayed at my cousins house and go to know the area around Store Bay pretty well.

When I came home to Sweden again it felt like my life had changed and every day I thought about going back. I haven't yet and now I'm a bit scared that it won't be the same if I go back. Maybe it's better to keep my memories of hot dark nights with music, dancing, flirting, than trying to create new ones...

Anyway: I'm really glad I found this site, I never get tired of reading what people write about my favourite island!

(Sorry if my English grammar is not perfect).

Hi Jenny

Welcome aboard!

Fear not, Tobago has not changed very much since you were there. Yes, tourism is increasing, but development is slow and standards are being maintained. In fact, the public pressure of this site and forum is not only helping to preserve standards, but to actually improve them. You, our lovely readers, are only too quick to yell when any establishment there brings discredit to the island.

I don't wish to get ahead of myself, but I truly believe that the public voices echoed in myTobago could be the secret to Tobago devloping as a tourism destination without unduly destroying the essential ethos and atmosphere that so many of us love so much. Fingers crossed.

Yes, Jenny, just as you never get tired of reading about Tobago, I never get tired of writing about it.
