Hello - Thinking of going to The Rex end of Nov (2004). Would you advise me whether there is any sailing, what the snorkeling is like and whether we should try to wait until January to go - ie: if the rain will be bad?
Thanks
Kate

Sailing - a couple of sunfish dingies but that's about it though I think they are trying to expand. Nice wide bay to sail in.
Snorkling - this is not the location for this though you can get boats to neighbouring bays that are more suitable.
Weather in Jan is fine. Well this year it was OK but the whole season was damper than usual.

You can snorkel Courland Bay, but you need to be a strong swimmer.
Turn left, walk along to the pink house. In front of it are rocks, great sights there, deep, but good. BUT the sea will try pushing you to the shore, so unless you are a good swimmer, don't bother!
Better elsewhere, nearest I went to and loved (by car) was Arnos Vale - VERY calm and easy, masses of fish within a yard or two of the beach.
