Restaurants, ATM's Diving.

We are keen to eat out in Tobago, not believing in the All Inclusive ethos of many hotels. Are there any restaurants walkable in the evenings from Turtle Beach, also are there any ATM's in the vicinity or are travellers cheques the order of the day. Are there any dive companies to be recommended.

Welcome aboard!
There are no restaurants, shops or other facilities within walking distance of the Rex Turtle Beach. Sadly, you will need a taxi or self-drive rental. Your nearest ATM is a five-minute drive away. You will see lots of discussion of what's near in this sub-forum.
We shall be publishing a very comprehensive 20,000+ guide to diving on Tobago within the next few months. It's currently at proof-reading stage. There are dive operations at the RTB, but the best outfits are down in Crown Point, a 20 minute drive away. The good outfits offer a collection and return service.

Also do not change currency at the Rex. The rate there and at some other hotels can be some 30%+ worse than the bank rates.
