Hi Steph,

Just thought to let you know that your stroopwafels are nearly arriving . We fly in on Thursday, 30.09.04...yehyeh :P :P ... and will try to find / contact you!

Looking very much forward to seeing you!!!

P.S.: Steve, it seems to be a bit difficult to find stroopwafels that will still be edible in January 2005...I will do my absolute utmost to find you some...but it might be that I have to disappoint you (a good reason to come over to Holland I should think!!)

Hi Arianne

That's what I figured! Not to worry - as you say, a trip to Holland would be the answer and after all, we're only an hour away from Harwich.

Have a great trip.

I'm sure that they taste better if they have travelled 4000 miles, however the rest of us will have to make do with mail order on the web at:

http://www.stroopwafelshop.com/order_online.html

You have to buy a pack of 10 cartons, with 12 in each, for US$39.50

OK, I've bought the hype, and I want some myself. :P Next on my agenda is to find out what they are?

Keep a look out for me in January Steve, as I will be there too, and we all want your stroopwafels now!

You lot keep your sticky fingers off my stroopwafels.

I'll be in Castara from Jan 13th, so I'll be looking forward to it Arianne. Thanks and have a great trip if we don't "talk" before.

If my fingers are sticky, it will already be too late (laughs manicly like Austin Powers' Dr. Evil).

As your luck would have it, I return on 15th Jan, but that still gives me 2 days!

hello you all

1. Steve W.: I'm going to guard your waffels like treasure. no worries here! :D

2. Ariene: seems we have to meet at a secret place, at a secret time to avoid a robbery. this is my secret number: 620 50 97 but pssssst, keep it secret.... 8)

3. Steve F.: am a bit scared of your "laughs manicly like Austin Powers' Dr. Evil"... could you please choose one of your nicer personalities (saw them on other topics) when you come to castara? otherwise I might have to hide away, chewing my nails....

Hi Arianne,
Congratulations for the 8th I can think of no better place to get married I'm sure it will be a day to remember.

Out of interest which Rozenburg? I recall 2 one near Schipol and one opposite Massluis. In a different life, I spent many happy hours if somewhat hazy ones in the bars there while in dry-dock nearby.

All the best for the future

Hi Kevin,

thanks for your congrats. I'm sure we will have a great time!!
The Rozenburg we live in is the one opposite Maassluis, but not too many bars here, so I suppose you mean Rozenburg near Schiphol Airport.

Bye bye and we will have a nice drink when we arrive in Tobago tomorrow.

Hi Arlanne.

Believe me there are more than enough bars. We used to walk in from Veromes in to Rozenburg or up to the ferry and across to Maassluis for a Chinese. We spent one very pleasant winter evening with a bunch of kids, trying to teach us to ice skate on the frozen canal. Fine at the time the next day I could hardly move really had a great laugh.

Had a really great time, friendly people. You've made me feel all nostalgic.

Have wonderful time.
Kevin

Well done Arianne! It's nice to know that our readers are real people not virtual computer-generated entitities.

Mind you, Steph, if you eat those stroopwafels before I get there, you will be made to go and stand in the corner of the forum for a very long time.

Hi Steph and Steve,

I am at Marie's house, which is a lot of good fun, and wine and stuff....and not a stroopwaffel inside anymore, as they have all been eaten.
Mind you Steph, I didn't travel all the way from Holland to Tobago and your house to get Steve's waffels to end up in your sticky fingers.
So Steve, if they are not there anymore when you come in January, don't bleam me!!!!!!

We are thinking about a good opportunity...to start a stroopwaffel business here... there's definitely a market here!

Ok, glad to know that you have enjoyed them Steph! We might come around to see you again.

Anyhow, my wine is getting warm now, so I am leaving this forum again to enjoy the nice liming at Marie!!!

Bye bye to you all!!!

Thanks Arianne

My taste buds are twitching just thinking about it. I am sure that we can trust Steph to guard them with her life. If not, Hurrican Ivan will just be kiddies stuff in comparion to my fury

Have a great trip and make sure that wine doesn't get too warm.
