Friendly hotel required on the carribean coast

We were wondering if you could help us with a small dilemma, we are quite taken with the Enchanted Waters Hotel, the thought of a small friendly hotel seems to fit with our plans for a quiet relaxing holiday. Our problem is this, the hotel is a little way from the coast and we would particularly like to stay on the carib coast of the island. Do you have any knowledge of a similar friendly, small economic accommodation with access to the beach that you could recommend?

Hi Gareth
Welcome aboard!
Obviously price and location tend to be directly related. Beach-front properties can naturally charge a hefty premium, which automatically tends to take them out of the range of "economic".
Having said that, there are a few possibilities. The Polo Bar at Buccoo springs to mind immediately. It is only a couple of minutes walk from Buccoo Beach. Other than that, there's the Seahorse Inn at Grange beach. More expensive but directly on the beach. Following the trend of restaurants with rooms (like the Enchanted Waters in a way), you might also wish to consider the rooms at the Indigo which are within a five minute walk of Grafton Beach in Stonehaven Bay (like the Seahorse).

Well, Gareth, I guess it just all depends upon where she's doing the jumping up and down.
Sorry, that was not called for.

(Mind you, I only put into words what many other reader were thinking)
