Does anyone know whether major credit cards are accepted at Penny Savers Grocery?

You can withdraw cash on a credit card from ATMs, so if not, there is a way round it. Sorry I can't remember if they accept cards, I think they probably do though.

:D Just to say hello to everyone and please excuse my 'personal' attack on one earlier guest re. his comments to an island I have not yet visited, and therefore should not have commented - too many beers that night!! Forgive me all - especially Franco. I visit this site every evening, it's a real pull - and I have learned lots about Tobago through the insights of experienced travellers there & from the questions of 'newbies' such as myself. I am now more excited about our forthcoming holiday (Thursday week) than I was before! Tobago sounds just the place for me & my friend - relaxation first!! So - thank you all for comments, and I will let you know more fully my experiences on my return! Maybe I will become Marc 2! as I can see that he's left a bit of himself there! which is lovely. Most supermarkets and shops in Tobago do accept credit cards, even the smaller ones, but often expect you to spend more than about £10. Best to always carry some cash though, as a short power cut or problem with the telephone line authorisation will leave you with a problem. It has happened to us! :?
