Excel flights

My wife and I have just returned from a good holiday in Tobago (14/10 - 21/10). Now I don't know whether it was a fluke or not, but our flights with Excel were ok. We were a couple of hours leaving Gatwick, and about half hour late leaving to come back, which by todays standards is very good time keeping.
We travelled in ordinary economy which, it has to be said, is cramped. But there is nothing to stop you from getting up and moving around now and then. And the ticket is a lot lot less than flying scheduled - you pay your money, you take your choice. If the person in front reclines their seat it does restrict your space. But I asked the chap in front of me to put his seat back up a little, which he did to leave me sufficient knee room - hey presto no problem.
I know the company has had major problem with maintenance for which they should be criticised (the Saturday 16 Oct flight for example - I am sure others will tell you all about it upon their return) but give credit where it is due also, our flights were good.
Would I fly long haul with Excel again? From this experience - yes.
