Trinidad to Tobago Flights

Tobago Express, which is owned by BWIA, no longer has a website. When I called BWIA, they said the schedule for February wasn't set and were vague as to when it might be available. I felt uncomfortable not firming up our flight, considering that February is high season, and the planes going over are, for the most part, 30-40 passenger. So I emailed Yes Tourism and asked them to make the arrangements. I gave them my VISA number and desired times. They emailed me back that afternoon with all the details. They charged $4US handleing fee for each ticket and gave us a confirmation number. We'll pick up the tickets when we get to Trinidad. Flights run from 6:30am to 9pm, about once an hour, and they can be changed if your flight times from the US change. By the way, it's only $32US for a roundtrip!!

Hi Joanne

As I understand it, the Tobago Express website was first introduced only a few months ago. You can find it at http://www.tobagoexpress.com and can actually book online. Mind you, knowing what BWIA/Tobago Express are like, you're probably better off going through someone like Yes Tourism with expert local knowledge.

The situation is exceptionally confused between BWIA and Tobago Express with both offering airbridge flights. In fact, even the airport staff are confused and you will regularly hear tannoy announcements stating that a Tobago Express flight has just landed when it's actually a BWIA flight.

Dear Steve,

On the Tobago Express website, they'll only hold your booking for 24 hrs., so you have to be in T&T to pay for it--they don't take credit cards over the web. Yes Tourism, on the other hand will make the booking and bill your credit card

I thought it was all too good to be true. Thanks for pointing that out.

In past years, I've made my Tobago Express reservations by phone. I was given a confirmation number, but they did not want my credit card number. We paid at the airport gate, and our reservations have been in good order -- so far.
