Hi Sue

Is it just logging in that is taking a long time, or every page? How long is ages - more than 8 seconds? Finally, do you normally connect at this time of day?

Hi Steve,

It doesnt seem to matter what time i log in, it doesnt seem to recognise my user name / password, it usually takes me about 8 to 10 attempts. I have noticed this during the last few weeks, Sue.

Hi Sue

You're confusing me. Are you saying the system is slow, or are you saying that you are having a problem with you username/password?

If the latter, the system either works or it doesn't. If it accepts you one time and then rejects you another, it's becuase you're typing in the wrong username and/or password. Why not tick the box saying "remember me when I next log on" or similar so that you don't have this problem?

Hi Steve,

I am typing in the correct name etc, but i have to do it over and over again before it accepts me, we are on broadband, but i will tick the remember me box in future, many thanks for your help. Sue.

There are two other possibilities Sue. The hyphen in your username could, just, be a problem - but not unless you always had the problem. The other problem would be if you have registered another account on the forum on the same computer, in which case the cookie left on your machine would be confusing the system if you type in a different username and password.

Hi Su and Steve,

I have this problem sometimes when I logged in from my home computer and then check the forum from my company PC the next day (well I know I should work but sometimes you need a bit motivation...)

After the 3 or 4 try I'm logged on. The pages are really quick, I never have to wait.

Cheers
Gisela

I have a similar problem logging out.

I intend to look at myTobago for only a couple of minutes, and end up here for hours. Does any one else have the same problem?

Steve.
