Hi Andrew
By total coincidence, a message from Duane Kenny, the General Manager of the Blue Waters Inn, came in overnight. He's asked me to post an update to the situation. He would normally post it personally, but he says the Internet is running really slowly over there - almost certainly a product of the damage to telepgraph poles in the recent rains.
Anyway, Duane says...
All guest operations are running and no delays should be felt at Blue Waters Inn. The cleanup process is still a slow and ongoing one but we are getting there. Left to clean up are the tennis court, which we hope to have done in the next 2 weeks, along with the land slide behind the dive shop. The slide behind the dive shop is not affecting the shop so there in nothing to worry about there. In the back of the property we are moving our transformer room to place it in a safer location (should be completed by Christmas) and also work on a damaged tank system in the back of the property. Since these areas are away from guests it will not cause any problems. I will keep you posted if anything changes.
So fear not, Andrew - I'm sure you will have a wonderful holiday there. I have not heard of any factors at the BWI or elsewhere on the island that would merit the slightest change of plan or impede on your holiday in any way. I certainly haven't changed the slightest plan for my own trip and I'll be there (but not at the BWI - although I shall certainly be visiting it) at the same time.
