Cocomotion

I promised I'd book as soon as I returned and I did. Went to the Bucco Reef, No Man's Land and Nylon Pool. Very enjoyable. However, the highlight had to be speeding along being chased and entertained by a large pod of Bottlenose and Spotted Dolphins.

Well done to Capt Marlon for finding them and making a dream come true for my girlfriend (ie seeing Dolphins!).

As if that wasn't enough we went again on a not-so-sunny-day when it looked like sitting on a beach would be dull and damp and ended up in Cotton Bay being hassled by two large stingrays.

I would say without hesitation that anyone off to Tobago ought to get in touch with Rachel and Marlon. I don't think anyone in Tobago is unfriendly but they were both a treat to 'do business with'.

Marlon is both competent and willing to please but also great fun (he helped us entertain our kiddo which was most appreciated and welcome!).

I think I've sold Cocomotion enough for now, the photos will be up soon to help even more :-)

Hi Marc,

THANK YOU!!!!!

A while ago I asked about dolphin spotting in Tobago on this forum and got several useful replies and suggestions - but now you have given the best lead on dolphins and dolphin spotting so far. It sounds as though you had a magical experience.

Guess we'll be booking a trip on Cocomotion as soon as we arrive in April. (Hope the dolphins don't get wind of our arrival and disappear - like they usually do when we go on dolphin safaris!)

Hi all,

Well - we went out on Cocomotion on Friday 22nd April - straight after the new engines were fitted!!

Guess what - we were only a couple of minutes out of Mt Irvine bay and we found a really large pod of dolphins!!!!!!!! We were able to stay around them for quite a while as they played in the wake of the boat and moved along with us. After that, the rest of the trip was a bonus!

We had a really good time travelling up the coast to Castara and snorkelling there then returning to Arnos Vale and another good snorkelling site. After a drink and Rachels reknowned carrot cake(!) we returned to Mt Irvine bay - including a short burst at really high speed when Marlon was demonstrating just what the new engines could do!

It was a really wonderful morning trip, and if you like fast boats and fish, I can really recommend it (and also the carrot cake!)
