What voltage?

Can anyone tell me what voltage is pumped out by the electric sockets at the RTB? Need to decide whether to buy 110V charger or another battery for digicam.

Hi.
Whenever we have been we have charged cameras, MP3s, camcorders etc and have never needed anythying to accommodate a different voltage.

I believe I'm correct in saying that ALL digital cameras, videos, laptops and similar equipment run at very low voltage (under 12v) and that ALL chargers for such equipment bought in the UK will automatically cope with the reduced 110v voltage in Tobago or elsewhere. Don't forget a three-pin flat to two-pin flat electricity plug adapter though.

I think the Rex has nice 240V square 3 pin sockets.
What about a portable DVD player?

I have just bought a portable DVD player for the kids. Its input is 230V only. Do you think this will work in Tobago if I get the right adaptor? We are staying at Castara Retreats. I really hope it will!!

Tara,
If the worst comes to the worst, you can get a small (but very heavy) voltage converter (Auto Transformer) that will step up the 110V or step down the 230V to the alternative voltage. I bought one in an electrical shop on the main road near to Pennysavers in Canaan for about £15ish.
