Am I missing something with BWIA

I am trying to book flights in late March from Manchester to Tobago with an overnight stay in Trinidad on my return. Last year I travelled on BWIA for around £525 return for the same flights but this year the prices seem to have more than doubled and are much more expensive than other airlines from London.

Is there some reason why BWIA are so expensive or am I inputting the wrong information? Does anyone know of other airlines who do direct flights to Tobago or Trinidad from Manchester?

Hi Rob

Can't comment on the prices. BWIA aren't interested in providing us with information about their services and their prices are a mystery to everyone, including themselves I suspect. I thought their price was around the £600 mark for economy. The week you're going wouldn't happen to be the peak Easter holiday would it? If so, they're probably charging a rip-off premium like many other airlines.

I can, however, confirm that they are the only airline to offer a direct flight from Manchester to Trinidad (not Tobago I believe).

Hi Rob,

Have heard that British Midland are intending opening a route from Manchester into Tobago. Worth a phone call.
