Snorkeling in Tobago in June?

My partner and I are planning our two week honeymoon and we're currently looking at Tobago. We're thinking one week in Castara (either Blue Mango or Castsara Retreats) and then 7 days in Speyside or Charlottsville. We are most interested in snorkeling and seeing the stars at night, as we get a fair bit of neither in London, but I fear the June weather.
We don't mind some rain, but if the run off fogs the water the whole time I fear we're not likely to see many fish. A friend of mine was there in Novemeber and she said the water was cloudy the whole time, although the island itself was beautiful.
From what I've seen on this site I am sure that I'd love to visit Tobago, but for my honeymoon, I wonder if another location with a bit less rain might be a better idea.
Anyone with experience of snorkelling Tobago in the rainy season have any thoughts?
Many thans in advance. This is a brilliant site.
