myTobago – your questions, review and comment about Tobago

Hello there,

I am new to this site so please excuse me if I've posted this topic on the wrong page!

I just wanted to say how useful I have found the site, but I am now quite worried about my trip to Tobago in April 05.
My partner and I are due to get married at Le Grand Courlan resort during our 2 week holiday there, but we have read many bad reviews not only on this site, but other review sites too.

I was just wondering if anyone has been to this resort recently and has anything positive to say - the last review I read (not on this site) said that no one uses the beach because there are stray dogs all over it!! Also what sort of weather can we expect in April?

Please read "Wedding at Le Grand Courlan - October 2004" a topic posted recently by Fiona and Kevin in the hotel section as I think you will find this useful.

As for the dogs on the beach there are lots of comments on this site about the beach, dogs etc. There are some private houses, etc nearby and I think they come from there, they certainly don't look like strays as they are too friendly. They may be thin by our UK fat standards of unhealthy animals, but running around in the Caribbean they look OK. They are only small! They weren't a pain unless you made a fuss of them. Don't let this worry you.
