Hello everyone,

Can anyone tell me what guest services are available at Arnos Vale Hotel - i.e. room towels, pool/beach towels, tea making facilities etc.

Also does the hotel sell soft drinks and large bottles of water.

How close is the nearest shop to buy soft drinks, water and alcohol.

From recollection:-

You can have it all ... but I don't know the price.

I recall the toilets having shower facilities but then there is a shower just off the beach that anyone can use.

Whatever service you require should be available (there is a bar on the beachfront) but you may need to pay the price of a room for the day if you want towels etc provided.

I will be staying at Arnos Vale in a few weeks and am just trying to find out what you get for your room fee. the hotel website does not say very much.

May I suggest you check the Arnos Vale contributions in the Accommodation Section of this forum.

There have apparently been some recent changes regarding the 'welcome' that the hotel extends to guests and you may need to book your visit to the hotel in advance.

Unless of course you are actually staying there as I believe you have indicated.

If you are staying in Arnos Vale, I'm guessing that you will have a car, as it is not too near anything apart from the hotel grounds themselves. Strictly speaking, you are less than 1/2 mile from the outskirts of Plymouth, but the centre is about a further mile or two, where you will find a Superette (more of a general store than a supermarket) and other local shops, bars and fruit stalls. Plymouth is not a very touristy place, so you will see a more local set of shops.

With a car, you are only about 10-15 minutes drive from the Carnbee PennySavers and Morshead's supermarket (better selection of familiar brands).
