I will be in Tobago over the Easter weekend and wanted to know what its like during that time. On the public holidays (Fiday and Monday) are stores normally open, food places, tours etc?

I am sorry that I am too late to answer your questions for this Easter but I will try and answer them for others in future.

I have been to Tobago at Easter twice and It has been great. You must see the Goat races at Mt. Pleasant, they are great fun, held in a field which looks remarkably like a school fete, there are stools selling all of the local foods and drinks. There is music playing and a number of stalls such as raffles, games and things for sale including Pirate DVDs and CDs :D

Most of the local shops are open, in Scarborough the Banks are usually closed but most of it is running just like usual.

Tours guides are still operating and the food places usually just close a little earlier depending on the owner, but it is not that much different.

I hope that you had a good time there

:)
