Hi, my husband and I are coming down in 2 weeks 31/3.
We have 3 weeks and would like to spread our time out in various areas.
(Castara, Speyside or Charlotte and Crown Point area)
We're budget travelers and looking for a double for $40US or less.
Is this doable this time of year to show up without reservations and find rooms?
Thanks so much-we're excited!

Hi Barbara
Welcome aboard!!!
Your list seems to cover every area, so you're obviously on the Grand Tour. Provided that you get up at dawn and don't mind late nights, you should just about manage to squeeze everything in.
Easter is one of the very busiest times of year on Tobago. You'll catch the tail of that. However, it does tend to affect the large All-Inclusive places more than the smaller establishments. I don't think you'll have any problems finding suitable accommodation.
As you come out of the airport arrivals hall in Tobago, drop in to the Tourist Information office directly opposite. Ask for a copy of the Bed & Breakfast Association 'Host Homes' list. This lists some really excellent accommodation around the country.

The Naturalist Beach in Castara has 1 room that has a double bed, kitchenette, floor fan & shower for about $US38/nt. This guesthouse is right on the beach in one of the prettiest villages on the island. There's a variety of very affordable restaurant in the village. Check out their website.

Porridges Place in Castara is also within spec and budget and you have the huge advantage of being looked after by Porridge & Jeanell, two of the nicest people on Tobago
