Tobago Sea Kayak Experience

Further to Jill's review, I thought I'd add my comments on the kayak trips as I hope it will encourage other people to give it a go whilst on the island. Firstly, Clark is a great guy, a very laid back yet professional kayaker, and we kayaked with him from Pigeon Point and Charlotteville. Although we have kayak experience, it isn't a necessity as Clark is a great teacher.
If staying in the Crown Point area you can either call/email Clark or call into the Conrado hotel where Clark keeps his kayaks. We had a great couple of hours kayaking, including a tasty lunch on the beach opposite Pigeon Point. A sting ray kindly graced us with his presence in shallow water and even leapt out from the water in the lagoon. I would recommend very good high factor suncream when using the kayaks as on our first trip we had a double and the surf spray wiped out the suncream I had just bought leaving me with lobster like legs - ouch!
We then stayed up north in Charlotteville and did another kayak trip around Pirates Bay. To fully appreciate the beauty of Charlotteville you need to see it from the sea and the kayak was great for this.
The beauty with these trips is it's not some bot camp operation, but totally in keeping with Tobagon culture - take it easy, if you want to snorkel, snorkel. Our wonderful experiences and memories from the island were enhanced with the kayak trips and I strongly recommend that you give Clark a call.
