myTobago – your questions, review and comment about Tobago

Hi. We are about to return to Tobago for the second time and are looking to book a tour guide to take us into the Rain Forest.

When we were in Tobago in January, we went on a package tour to the Argyll Waterfall which included a short rain forest walk. This time we want to see more of the rain forest and want to do it with a local guide who can provide information on the forest.

If anyone has any recent experiences or recommendations on finding a local tour guide any information would be greatly appriciated (including costs).

We were in Tobago in January also and went on a trip to the rain forest with Harris McDonald who was excellent. We also took a trip with him to Little Tobago/Angel Reef and Charlotteville which was hugely enjoyable. He is the head lifeguard at Store Bay and also a fully accredited guide on Tobago. You can either contact him at Store Bay (just ask for Harris, everyone knows him) or call him on 639 0513/759 0170. Having been on trips to the rain forest and wetlands with Newton George within the last couple of weeks I can't recommend him highly enough.
