Hello Mandy
Bacolet is a sort of residential suburb of Scarborough. The main (best) beach is Batteaux Bay, next to the Blue Haven Hotel. There are only a couple of restaurants (Blue Haven and Old Donkey Cart), but depending upon where you are in Bacolet it is only a 2-minute drive into Scarborough where you have more choice. There are no shops, as such, in Bacolet itself.
All the restaurants, beaches, shops and other facilities are fully detailed within the main articles of the site and all are listed geographically, so you can see exactly what is where.

Hi Steve,
I could be wrong BUT. I think Batteaux Bay is Bluewater Inn (Speyside) it will be Bacolet Bay at the Blue Haven.
I'm sure this was just a typo.
Regards
Kevin

Kevin - I thought a typo was when your fingers got in a muddle and transposed or missed letters, not when an old fart doesn't know what he's talking about.
You are, of course, quite correct. The silly things was I knew it was wrong when I typed it but I was just listening to a particulary strong riff by Clapton and my mind wasn't on the job.
I meant/should have said Bacolet Bay.
