Toucan or Toucan't?

Having stayed here before, we returned with our daughter (2 1/2). Whilst most aspects were as expected, that is of a very high standard, the management must be cautious of inconsistent standards of service from the staff. Some staff were exceptionally good, like Christine on reception. Others were exceptionally bad, particularly restaurant staff at breakfast and one member of security who seriously and unnecessarily upset our daughter, was extremely rude and was inadequately dealt with by management, despite assurances he would be.
Also of note was the joint owner was at Toucan Inn regularly but at no time conversed with or engaged with any of the guests, which at a small hotel was noticed by many, and is not a good example to the staff.
it is still a great place to stay, but the management need to beware of standards slipping as their recruitment and training of staff is not up to scratch.
Jimmy, take note, you have a great place, don't let it become mediocre!
