Hi Steve

A question I'm sure that I am not the only one to be curious about, how many postings do we need to reach each level?

Warning if you don't tell us I may need to bombard you with so many posts you cannot keep up, so that I can produce my own list for those sad people among us who care about such things!

Hi Linda,

Like you I don't know how Steve's posting count system works - but I've suddenly become "Oh So Sad"!!!

So come on Steve - give us a clue!!

Hi Jane

I am guessing that you hit 'Oh so sad' at 100 posts as you are now on 102.
Anyone know when I change from a 'guru' to a 'nut'?

Hi Linda

This closely guarded secret lies buried in a vault deep beneath Canary Wharf. If I told you, the cyber-gods who protect the Internet would banish me to Clacton-On-Sea for the rest of my natural life (or should that be 'unatural' life?).

Maybe the ranking system has nothing to do with the number of posts. Have you considered that it might be based upon CASCA technology (computer-aided spectographical content analysis)?

Jany - sorry, but the forum is a very sensitive suite of software and while you sat there reading posts it sensed that you were wondering about its inner working and ranking system in particular, so consequently changed you to "Oh So Sad".

Thanks Steve

Well I tried! I suppose now I just have to keep adding more and more posts in my quest to become a 'My Tobago nut', although I am sure that my partner beleives I already am, I am spending so much time on here lately that he is beginning to think that I am having a cyber affair with one of the other members!!!!!

Two weeks and 2 days to go

But as I sit here in my English garden, think the lack of sun will always mean I will be SAD :(

No Problem Bob

I think I have a cure for you, invest in a sunbed for your home, then spend long sessions under it, sipping rum punch (you may need a straw!!), listening to a cd of pan music.

Ok not as good as the real thing but it gets me in the mood for my hol!!

Looking forward to the day Steve bestows me with the honour of 'Oh so sad'

Careful - or I might be nasty and send you back to "Newbie Visitor".

You've still got a long, long way to go to "Oh, so Sad!". There are also two ranks that nobody has achieved yet, but I can't tell you what they are of course. Mind you, one of the beauties of this system is that I can move the goalposts at will.

So with your number of posts you must now be 'Tobago God' Steve, as such I would never dream of upsetting you!!!!

Linda

SAD or what?

No, I'm afraid not, Bob (at least not as far as forum ranks go). Linda is wrong, my rank is actually 'Tobago Devil'.

By the way Steve are you at liberty of telling us who ranks top (after you of course) so we can throw cyber tomatoes at them out of jealousy.

Interesting to see that our resident weather expert, Paul, now has a rank of "Get a Life" at 502 postings!! (Mind you, he was even sending posts from Castara in March!)

  3. Kevin Hampson - with 262
In the "Oh So Sad!" category, we currently have 9 users:
  1. David Watkins - 236
  2. Brian Taylor - 220 (Ha, Ha! Thought you were hidden did you, Steph)
  3. Julia C. - 154

  6. John Hill - 132
  7. Cornelia Montgomery - 115

There is still one rank that nobody has achieved - and if they do, I'll just have to thing of something stupid and add a higher rank.

Good Point Brian/Steph

You have the highest number of posts whilst you reside in Tobago.

Guess that makes you the saddest of them all !!! :D  :D

Just a query, a friend and I plan to pose for photo's in our very fetching B&Q aprons, for a bet I hasten to add!!!! does that warrant an honoury Oh so sad, as these will be published in our staff magazine for the whole company to see? - or will those nice little men in white coats just come and take us away?
