Kiteboarding Wakeboarding + MTB on Tobago

Does somebody know if there is someone on Tobago who
rent´s Kites/Wakeboards ?
If you are interested in MTB or the stuff above and want to do
some tours with us, contact me.
We will be at the Rex Turtle from 30. May for 2 Weeks...

Hi Chris,
For Kite Boarding (= Kite Surfing in the UK) then your only option is
World Of Water at Pigeon point and also the Hilton I think. Not sure if they have a web site, but they also don't have much kit, so unless you are bringing your own, contact them well in advance to make a booking.
For MTB (assume that is the same as ATB = All Terrain Board = Kite Land Boarding in the UK) there is little open space that is
not covered with palm trees, apart from the few football pitches. The pitch at Plymouth is big enough and popular for kite flying, but also often waterlogged if it has rained a lot, and very near to cliff edges, so risk of lofting!
Don't know about wakeboarding?

Not sure if you;re looking for a powered wakeboard or wind powered, but Pigeon Point is your best bet for either.
Whilst at Pigeon Point a couple of weeks ago I noticed that the Wild Turtle Dive boat was towing a wakeboard around the lagoon for a short time.
I have a suspicion that this was a visitor's board, but could be wrong.
To be honest - this was nearly as annoying as the young local guy who insists on charging around on a b****y jet-ski at full throttle, when the waters are crowded with bathers, in a flash attempt to pull in the punters.

Today I decided, after reading some reports, to take my Kite + Board to Tobago.

Chris,
It would be great to hear from you when you return, to let us know how you got on. On my last trip to Tobago, I watched a few Kite Surfers at Pigeon Point, and they seemed to be having a lot of fun in about 20-25mph winds. I like the fact that there is no noise or involved, apart from the wind itself, or polution. They also love kites in Tobago, and unlike the UK there seem to be no limits on height of flights. All home made one liners, flying at up to 200 metres it would seem!
I've not tried it yet, but plan to take a Kitesurf course on my next trip if I can arrange it. In the meantime, I'm training on land with various traction kites etc - I spend the other half of my time on the Flexi forum these days

gracias for your post... heard Pigeon Point got around 5-6 Bft. so I will take my big kite to go big... I hope to get some nice Waves to ride for you all...
I also go snowboarding with the kite, which works very well... The best is that you don´t need any Motors or Installations to ride...
I took my 1st Kitecourse in Holland in fact that the Courses in Germany
Austria and Swiss are too expensive... it took about 150 € including Gear, Shorty, Kite+Board and 2 Nights in self catering Apptmnts.
Just checking out to get to PigeonPoint by Kite instead of car or taxi... this is gonna be fun.
I´m gonna also try to surf the Atlantic part of Tobago... I pray every day
that the weather will be fine and we get not much rain...

I've emailed them to ask for more details, as they still don't list Kite Surfing on their website. Still no reply - will keep you posted.
I got the same 'wind permitting' comment when I spoke to one of the guys last year on the beach, but I've still not heard from anyone who has had a lesson with them.

Was there this week, there were some Guy's kiting, Ricki has not done any lessons recently though due to the lack of wind, what mail adress are you using?
