I've only had a quick look so far, but I hope you've got lots of bandwidth on your hosting because I reckon an awful lot of people will be paying a visit to your gorgeous collection.

I'm still stunned by the shots, so much so I had a look at the other albums, of your other island visits. You real have got a rare talent there are a lot of superb photos.

Out of interest how come there are no underwater shots in the Tobago photos I saw you had taken a few in the past.

I usually consider my holiday photos to be a success if I get on or two photos that are half as good as yours

I'm very glad you like our photos.As for Kevin question about underwater photography- yes I took some U/W photos during my Thailand trip,but then I had small digital camera (Canon S10) with cheap U/W housing. Now in Tobago I had digital SLR camera- Nikon D70 and no U/W housing-those things are for the present too expensive for me. Also time spended to make only few good underwater pics is too long to do it during short holiday. And last thing - visibility in March wasn't as good as I expected- I think one must go in Dec-Jan.
But for the future I really would want to try once again to take underwater shots- above all macro.

Hi Dave,
I know what you mean I was looking to upgrade this year and going the digital SLR route is very expensive so I went for a Sony 5meg camera and housing. Digital SLR housings were well all over a £1300 with out the camera. Getting that would have ment no Tobago holiday this year so it was no contest.
The prices are coming down I just checked the Cameras Underwater site and an Ikelite housing for your Nikon is about £900 to £980 depending on features, its still not cheap as I paid just over half that for a camera and housing.

Your shots with the S10 looked OK my guess is the vis was pretty good and you kept shallow as you start to loose colour unless you have a Strobe or light rig.

I normaly go in October/November and the vis can be a bit variable for photograpy but I have seen around 40m, last year it started off poor at around 8m and got up to a best of about 20m.
