During our stay in Tobago during early May 05 we visited several restaurants and cafes, one of which (and one of my personal favourites) was The Salsa Kitchen just off the Jnc of Wilson Rd/Plymouth Rd in Scarborough.
The food is fantastic,we ordered lots of different dishes as it's a tappas style restaurant so you just order and share, great!
The service was good and friendly and everything is prepared and cooked to order.
The surroundings are beautiful and very relaxing and we had a very nice evening,i'm very much looking forward to another visit this year.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Dear Andy,

Two visits in one year! Good for you!! The Salsa kichen sounds like a must try when we get there in August, was it expensive?

I must totally endorse everything that Andy says. The Salsa Kitchen is one of our very favourite restaurants on the island and Paula, the owner, is a total sweetie.

No, it is certainly not expensive, Henry - far cheaper than all the other "good" restaurants. It is the least pretentious place you could find and if you're looking for swish surroundings, forget it! Its also very small (about 16 covers I think). Everything is cooked fresh, so if you arrive just after another table, you could be in for a bit of a wait - but its more than worth it. Its best to go in a group of 4 or 6 because that way you can order lots of tapas dishes and just dig in, as Andy says.

Hi Steve,i agree with your comments regarding Salsa Kitchen,it's one of our favourite restaurants on the island and we'll definately be visiting again soon.
We went as a foursome,2 adults and 2 children,we had lots to eat and drink and the bill came to around £30-£35 which was very good.
Like i said in my previous post all the food is cooked fresh from order and the waitress kept oppologising for the wait which really wasnt a problem, what a sweetie she was.And boy was it worth the wait, the food was absolutely delicious! Cant wait to return! :D

we agree whole heartly with the above coments, we prommised the Girls we would write them a nice review, they realy could do with the extra buisness, we were the only people in when we went last week. If you looking for fine dining this is not the place for you, But if your after good honest food served in a warm & friendly environment you can't go far wrong.
We love the Minted Pork, the Beef Piquante & the Lime Fish & don't forget to order Garlic bread.
If we needed an reason to Visit Tobago Again it would be so we could Eat at Salsas Kitchen , as if we need an excuse!!
