Our group of 15 people stayed at Plantation Beach Villas for 2 weeks, first half of July 05. We had 2 families from Norway joining 1 family from Seattle, WA. With the age ranging from 4 to 73, all first-timers to Tobago, we were uncertain what to expect. MyTobago.info was frequently used before we left Norway, and we read all about weather, crime, beaches, restaurants etc. Thank you Steve for this web-site, it increased the value of our vacation a whole lot.

It’s hard to shortlist the highlights of our vacation, but here’s an effort:
Sheppy provided good service and two big cars so we had the chance to go sight seeing whenever we felt to.
We drove to Englishmans Bay and had the beach almost to ourselves. The roads were not too good, but then again, anyone that has been driving in the Norwegian mountains are not spoiled with autostradas. Seeing the houses of the locals and the conditions some of them live in made a big impression.
We had the perfect day on Island Girl with clear blue heaven, great snorkling with colourful fish and small turtles, tasty lunch, spotting Dolphins, feeding Stingrays and just enjoying the good life. This was the best day among 14 good ones.
We went to Sunday School in Buccoo both Sundays we were there. We had great fun with local music, local gambling, local hot dogs and a few Caribs…
We drove to Charlotteville and Speyside and got to see most of the islands Atlantic side.
We spent one day in the rainforest, and afterwards cooled off in the Argyle Waterfall.
Playing 18 holes on the Hilton-course we lost 60 balls (3 players not to good I have to admit).
Emily hit us but not too hard, the thing was that this day we had to stay in the villas and be prepared for rough wind.
Playing football on the beach with the local guys was also great fun.
We also spent one day on Pigeon Point, and saw Buccoo reef and the Nylon Pool.
Lucky as we were we got to see a Giant Leatherback nesting on Grafton Beach, an impression to last.
In between all this we had plenty of time to enjoy good food, swimming, and a whole lot of liming. In two weeks I did not see TV, read newspapers or checked my e-mail.

The conclusion after the 2 weeks in Tobago was that nobody wanted to go back home, we all had the best vacation ever, and we all hope to go back to Tobago soon.

I will post a comment on Plantation Beach Villas in the Accomodation forum.
