Me and my wife are going on our honeymoon in Tobago on thursday. We are staying at a private villa in the plantations area of Tobago and was wondering how much money we would probably need for a week? We have already got £300 changed up in english money do you reckon we would need more as we'd like to do as much as we can?

It really depends on what you plan to do,if,like us you plan to take in some trips to the Rainforest and Glassbottomed boat to the Nylon Pool etc then you'll probably need a bit more than £300 although not THAT much more.We went for two weeks in May and took £1000 spending money but i did come back with £300 and we did lots of things and ate out every day and hired a jeep most days so did very well indeed.
Hope you have a fab time on your Honeymoon.

Thanks, I think around £500-600 then sounds about right as we would like to go on a few excursions including the rainforest and possibly a trip to little tobago.

Hi Adam
If you're using reputable guides and tour companies, you will be able to pay for all/most tours and excursions by credit card. Quite frankly your £300 should be more than enough "cash" - you can always draw extra out via your credit card. Hot tip: always ensure that you/your wife have two different credit cards with you in case one is lost/stolen/damaged.

Thanks for the help i'll make sure we both have cards on us then. Great website by the way as without it i don't think we'd know any of the good places to visit!
