Kitesurfing on Tobago

Hi,

We are from Holland and in about two weeks we will visit Tobago.
Our favorite sport is kitesurfing. I read about the beach in front of the Hilton. This seems to be the main kitebeach.
Does anyone know if you are allowed to kite at Pigeon Point?
Are there other suitable spots on Tobago?
What about the windconditions at November and early December?

Thanks in advance for the information!

Regards,

Welcome aboard Martijn

I believe kitesurfing is done from both Pigeon Point and Rockley Bay near the Hilton. I've never seen it been done anywhere else.

Winds are fairly consistent all year round.

Thank you Steve, are you able to say how much is the windspeed?
Please mention it in Bft. or knots.

Kindest Regards

Sorry, don't know.

Keep your eye on the Weather panel in the left sidebar of all main pages of the site as this shows the current windspeed (updated live every 60 minutes). Sadly, the windspeed indicator has been very unreliable since the hurricane last year and is regularly out of operation - as it is while I write this. We typically find it breaks down over the weekend and is then fixed when they come into work on a Monday, I guess. So, my guess is that it will start to show a figure within the next few hours.

Hi Steve,

It's been a while since I was on the Forum. I've had trouble trying to locate someone in Tobago who does Kitesurfing courses. Emailed WOW a few times, but they don't ever reply.

Any ideas where else I could try?
