Todays Santa Niklaus-Day in Germany. That means a lot of chocolate & cookies. And what gave St Claus to me: Real Chocolate from Tobago! 75% of cocoa in it. Delicious - to be toped only by an carib....

Nick

By the way: What is Tobagos Tobaco doing, does the Cigar-Manufacturer still at work?

Hi Nick

Have a good Santa Niklaus Day. I'm a total sucker for chocolate!!!!

Yes, the Tavaco 'factory' is still operational, at La Terrazza Restaurant on the Shirvan Road. However, some interesting news, just in last night from the owner, Stefano Monti...

La Terrazza (and the Tavaco hand-rolled cigar factory) are moving to Tobago Plantations on 1st January 2006. Rouselles have closed at the Golf Club and Stefan is taking over the kitchen's and dining room. It could be a good move for Stefano. The speed bumps on the Tobago Plantations do add a few minutes to the journey, but the Golf Club will be just as convenient for most people and there will be less mosquitoes than at the old place (I've never heard complaints, but we always noticed them).

Stefano tells me that they want to do some work to the kitchens and restaurant before starting operations, so all I can tell you at this stage is that they will be opening between 1st and 15th January 2006.

hey nick
did not get any chocolate. when I explained the "shoes-outside-tradition" to alibaba he seid: "...and then he gives you a bucket of water..." that was actually true since we had a lot of rain last night. so no chocolates for me. I know the one you are talking about (black cover, golden writing). my mom gave it to me when she discovered it. the richest you can get.... yummy. enjoy and eat some cinnamon stars and such for me too. miss the german christmas sweets.
enjoy

Hi Brian,
rain was a problem here last night too - but Tobago-Chocolate is well covered. Have a look:
http://www.rausch-schokolade.de/plantag ... obago.html

By the way: The companys name "Rausch" means in the state of mind while your trunk (or canabalised ;-)

There is nothing to be added.

My greetings to the liquid sunshine, miss him (for nearly four years!) like other people christmas sweets.

Hi Steph, hi Nick,

I got that Chocolate last year from a neighbour who knows that I travel to Tobago every year but didn't know you can get it at Strauss Innovation.

Thanks for the link, Nick (and the link to the Carib-Shop! I enjoy my Carib almost every day, have to order a new case I guess..)

Steph, do you want me to bring some chocolate next time when I come? I will not tell it to Brian

By the way, did you get the book and the opener (is it called like this in English??)

(around 4 month to go....)

Cheers
