Smokers who roll their own, take heed!

Just got back from 2 weeks (not long enough!) and just wanted to post a 'warning' to smokers who roll their own! Small cigarette papers are very scarce in Tobago so remember to take plenty with you. The only ones they have available are for smoking something completely different and are huge!!!! You find yourself performing origame each time you want a cigarette. Also, be prepared for everyone to think you are smoking 'ganga' as rolling your own cigarettes is virtually unknown there! They either look at you suspiciously or offer you something else to put in it!

Has anyone else experienced this problem? Are we liable to be locked up on suspicion while our tobacco is tested for illegal substances?

A friend of ours has asked us to get him some cigarettes when we go IN 6 DAYS!!!!

Are they cheaper in Tobago or should we just get some at the airport

Hi Andrew

They are much cheaper in Tobago supermarkets than duty free - circa £9.50 at current fx rates for 200 (not that I condone this dangerous sport!). I am not a smoker so cannot comment on the quality but many of the usual brands seem to be on offer.

Regards

thanks

Many thanks

Much appreciated info.

And what a great site this is. The information has made me look forward to next week even more (if that's possible). I can't wait......

At the aiport, in Tobago, they only have a very limited range but they are cheap. 200 for about £8.00.

Have a fantastic time.
