My wife and I have recently returned from an enjoyable and relaxing three week holiday, staying at Sherwood Park Apartments. We found them through the myTobago website, which we found to be an excellent source of information about the island. Originally, we had intended to stay at one of the big resort complexes, until we found Sherwood Park, which sounded like our sort of place.
Everything about Sherwood Park Apartments was exactly as we had expected from the information on myTobago. Nigel and his staff were always cheerful and helpful, and any (small) problems which arose were dealt with immediately. Nigel and Marvin were also very knowledgable about Tobago. Our thanks to everybody there.
Sherwood Park proved an excellent base to explore all of Tobago, with a rental car, arranged by Nigel through Andie's Rentals (no problems and good value). We used the myTobago restaurant listing as a starting point for where to eat out each evening, and found the comments almost always to be a true reflection. Our personal favourites were the Seahorse Inn (3 visits) and La Terrazza (2 visits, but would have been 3, except that they were closed on our last evening), and we also ate twice at Bonkers, Ru B Lou s and Café Coco. Everywhere we dined was within 15 minutes drive of the Apartments.
All in all, both the apartments and Tobago in general came up to our expectations --- only marred by a couple of instances of gratuitous cruelty to dogs, the worst of which was on our last day there, which we subsequently reported to the Tobago SPCA.
